Consultation of interested factors for the reason of the implementation of forest certification in the FSC-C150733 system

SC Ocolul Silvic Lignum S.R.L. based in Dărmănești since 2019 implements a forest management certification system (FSC®) for the forests owned by S.C. Forester M.U. Silvicultura S.R.L. and for which Ocolulului Silvic Lignum provides forestry management. The stakeholder consultation process ran from May 2024 to June 2024.

The independent certification body Control Union Certification (CUC) carried out the re-evaluation process of the forest management system managed by Ocolulului Silvic Lignum.

This assessment includes the verification of forest management according to the National FSC Standards of Romania based on the 10 FSC® principles. If the forest management practiced by Ocolulului Silvic Lignum complies with the standards, CUC will extend the validity of the certificate awarded to the forest management practiced by Ocolulului Silvic Lignum (FSC® FM-COC). In this situation, Ocolulului Silvic Lignum will be entitled to provide certified wood from the forests included for the purpose of certification, thus offering various advantages to the owners and society in general (land tax exemptions, access to an international market, proof of sustainable forest management, social and hardened medium).
